Featured on Design Sponge!

I've been a devout fan of Design Sponge since its early days, so I seriously had to pinch myself when I saw this today:

Many thanks to my incredibly talented friend Caty Smith for these beautiful photos and to Amy Azzarito at Design Sponge for the post!

I thought I'd share a few of my personal outtakes (hence the poor lighting and blurry images...I really need to take that photo class I've been meaning to, asap!)

(Above) A shot of our dining room from a different angle, where you can see how truly out of control our book collection is! #cantstopwon'tstop

Above is a shot of our powder room that I clearly took with my phone (sorry, guys.) It's painted the same color as our guest room, Benjamin Moore's "Black." Unfortunately it gets very little natural light and is about the size of a phone booth, so it's impossible to capture a good photo of it. But it's one of my favorite rooms in our house. I love these little shadow silhouettes, and I'm looking to expand our collection. Perhaps a DIY project in the making?
Above is an image of some shelves in our bedroom, where I keep all the pretty little knick knacks I have that make me so very happy to look at each day. John's side of the shelf may or may not have a lot of this going on, which is fine by me!

And finally, I must give one more shout-out to the amazing Caty Smith, who flew all the way from Oklahoma to spend 2 straight days taking photos with me...

Going to great heights to get them just right! I am so fortunate to have such an insanely talented friend!

If you're new to the blog today, please say hello! I would love to meet you in the comments section below. (Definitely not my intention to make that rhyme, but I'm going with it!)
