Weekend Recap

This past weekend was quintessential fall. Georgetown really puts on a spectacular show this time of year. I could walk around for hours admiring all the painted row houses, crunching leaves beneath my feet, and laughing at the crazies who line up for hours on end for cupcakes at the eponymous Georgetown shop, always coming dangerously close to jumping on the crazy train myself because they're actually so delicious.

On Sunday John ran the Marine Corps Marathon and he was amazing! I'm so proud of him. The race went up Rock Creek Park which is absolutely stunning on a regular day, let alone in the peak of my favorite season.  I was fortunate to get there early enough to catch this photo of the winner of the marathon, cruising along at about a 5:25 minute mile pace, which he kept up for 26.2 miles. Mind. Blown.

It was a fabulous weekend, but I'm tired. Watching a marathon is exhausting! (I'm actually quite serious. Lots of running around and sympathy pain.)  I'm prepping some photos to add to my portfolio page tomorrow, as well as a before and after gallery wall post. I can't wait to share them with you!
